While making this project I work on creating temporary statues in various places all over Serbia, forming visual language through shared and relevant postmemory experience. In sculpture, I resort to mundane technique, using only natural, unbaked and unpurified clay. The reason for that is simple: I reuse the same clay many times, but I add a bit of local clay to each new statue, thus physically incorporating memories, experience and history in statues I create in chosen locations. I see great value in the fact that the sculptures will be short-lived, and the gradual destruction, inevitable in the absence of fixation of the result, will show how the present becomes the past. Memory becomes a place where timelines meet at one point. It goes with memory of a person, memory of a body, memory of a ground. Natural clue represents it not only in nowness, but also as a moment as important as blink in the historical perspective. 1000 of years this clay saw, now it will be formed, then degraded, yet remains the same clay. Special thanks to @evgenia_borisova for filming the process
